If you truly want to be sustainable, stop buying things you don’t need. Simple as that. There is nothing sustainable about fashion.
Many terms heard among the press releases don’t mean what we think they mean. “Vegan leather”, unfortunately usually means plastic. “Hand made” is really an industry standard outside of huge mass market manufacturing. “Recycled”, often means non-recyclable or non biodegradable. “Sustainable” materials may be imported, possibly flown from the other side of the world.
The Auxiliary outlook on sustainability is simple.
Treat people well
Factory workers have good conditions, happy environments and work reasonable hours.
Source locally
Use environment-kind materials where possible and don't fly them all over the world to make your products.
We care about you
We will never make you queue in the rain for a shoe release. If you’re ever feeling down, shoot us a message, we’re listening.
